The Family Grain Mill Modular System

The Family Grain Mill System features an excellent Bread Making Grain Mill and an excellent countertop Flaker Mill for making rolled cereals like oatmeal from whole grains.  The Grain Mill Attachment grinds dry grains such as: wheat, dent corn, grains, beans, some spices, coffee, some dry herbs and Ezekiel Mixes. The Roller or  Flaker Attachment is for rolled oats, cereals and grains.  You can purchase with either a Hand Base or a Motor Base. See, FGM Combo Units. The Family Grain Mill Whole Grain Cookbook is one of the most informative and helpful that we have studied for making delicious whole grain breads, muffins, cakes, cookies and other nutritional bake goods from Whole Grains. The same author, who wrote Whole Grains Cookbook also wrote Bread Making Tips!

The Family Grain Mill Attachments can be adapted to work on The Bosch Universal Mixer and the Kitchen Aid Mixer (325 Watt or larger), by use of a special Bosch Adapter and/or Kitchen Aid Adapter. (Only one adapter is needed to connect all attachments!) See, KA Specials and Bosch Deals.

• Motor Base -- Motor Drive for Attachments. Available in 110 V.
• Hand Base w/Crank (Free with any Motor Base Package) or can be purchased separately. Noted for ease in grinding when the power is out!
• Grain Mill Attachment -- Grinds small or large dry seeds, most dry grains, dent corn and beans (not popcorn, tapioca or flax). Will grind coffee -- put through twice once on #3 and second time a bit less than #2. Make sure you clean, wipe out the unit well after grinding coffee! Grain Mill is easy to clean!
• Flaker Attachment -- makes rolled or flaked cereals like Oatmeal, which cook faster and use less fuel than boiling whole grains. Also, breads made with added flaked grains are healthier and will not negatively affect blood sugar levels (glycemic index).
• The Family Grain Mill Whole Grains Cookbook is just excellent, over 200 delicious tested recipes for wonderful breads and wholesome nutritious whole grain cooking recipes.
• Bosch Adapter has been specially made for the Bosch Universal Mixer, so that all the FGM attachments can also work with your current Bosch Universal Mixer. Many believe the Family Grain Mill and Flaker Mill are superior to the Bosch Mills. Also, adds functionality since may be used with the Hand Base, if the power is out.
• The Kitchen Aid Adapter allows you to power our Grain Mill and Flaker Mill with your Kitchen Aid Mixer Base. Note: This works with Kitchen Aid Mixers 325 Watts or higher. Also, gives you the option of using your Attachments with the Hand Base in case the power is out.
