Not recommended for long term storage.
The Muffin and Pancake mixes are complete -- just add water
and stir. No Oxygen Absorbers have been added to these 3 items
effective March 2008. If you purchased prior to March 2008, then
your unit is packed for long term storage. We discovered that the
new oxygen absorbers were reacting with the leavening (baking powder
and baking soda). If an oxygen absorber is in these three mixes,
then you will get a longer shelf life. The mix is fine, you will
just have to add more baking powder and more baking soda to make
nicer muffins and pancakes. The rest of the non-flour items have a
3-5 year shelf life unopened stored cool! Please, store this unit cool.
65 degrees F. is optimal, cooler is even better. Add
yeast to use the Honey Wheat Bread Mix.
